Airlines Exploring Legal Avenues for Aircraft Delivery Delays

The airline industry is facing challenges as aircraft delivery delays are affecting their growth potential. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) indicates that while airlines prefer to collaborate with manufacturers, they are prepared to oppose any price increases that arise from tariffs. IATA’s Director General, Willie Walsh, emphasized that, as of now, there are no signs of a rise in aircraft prices.
The airline industry is scrutinizing its legal options concerning aircraft delivery delays that are hindering substantial growth. However, it remains committed to collaborating with manufacturers, according to a statement made by the head of the International Air Transport Association on Monday.
IATA Director General Willie Walsh reiterated that airlines would fiercely contest any efforts by aircraft manufacturers or other suppliers to implement price hikes related to tariffs, although he noted that there are currently no signs suggesting that aircraft prices are increasing.
