The premium-configured 244-seat 787-9 will operate daily flights, bolstering American’s growing presence in the South Pacific and complementing its future service to Brisbane (BNE). The flights will be designated as AA035 (DFW to AKL) and AA034 (AKL to DFW).

In its efforts to improve long-haul travel experiences, American Airlines will deploy its next-generation Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with Flagship Suites on key international routes.

From January 5, 2026, the DFW to AKL route will utilize this upgraded aircraft, which features lie-flat Flagship Suite seating in business class, private doors, and enhanced amenities designed for long-haul travelers.

  • Flight AA035 will leave DFW at 22:30, arriving in AKL at 09:10 two days later.
  • Flight AA034 will depart Auckland at 13:20, landing back in Dallas at 08:05 the same day, operating daily.

This initiative strengthens American’s South Pacific network, particularly ahead of its planned service launch to Brisbane (BNE), facilitating smooth access to critical destinations in Australia and New Zealand.
