Cessna SkyCourier achieves Canadian certification

Textron Aviation has proudly announced that its Cessna SkyCourier, a twin-engine turboprop, has successfully received type certification from Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA).

This certification significantly boosts the aircraft’s operational capabilities, allowing it to function effectively in some of the most isolated regions of North America, as stated in the manufacturer’s press release.

“The SkyCourier’s performance is poised to be transformative for our customers across Canada,” remarked Lannie O’Bannion, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Flight Operations. “Its exceptional flexibility and low operating expenses make it an ideal option for various missions throughout the area.”

Designed for both passenger and specialized missions, the SkyCourier can be operated by a single pilot and offers the versatility to adapt its configuration for nearly any task. Its design allows it to meet a broad spectrum of operational demands in remote locations.

The first SkyCourier of its kind in the region, specifically a freighter variant, is scheduled for delivery to Air Bravo Corporation, a company providing passenger, cargo, and air ambulance services, in 2024.
