Emirates Returns to Paris Air Show 2025 After 15 Years Hiatus

DUBAI- Emirates (EK) has made a highly anticipated comeback at the Paris Airshow on June 17, 2025, marking the first participation of the world’s largest international airline in over 15 years.

The airline proudly displayed its modern Airbus A350 aircraft at Le Bourget (LBG), France, during the 55th edition of the International Paris Airshow, which continues until June 19.

The Airbus A350 served as the highlight of the Emirates exhibition, showcasing a forward-thinking cabin design paired with state-of-the-art interior technologies. The aircraft is designed to comfortably accommodate passengers across three distinct cabin classes.

It features 32 next-generation Business Class lie-flat seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, along with 21 Premium Economy seats, and a generous 259 Economy Class seats.

Visitors to the display experienced Emirates’ enhanced cabin features, which include increased storage, higher ceilings, and wider aisles throughout all travel classes. Moreover, the aircraft offers the latest in-flight entertainment systems, providing an immersive cinematic experience alongside advanced cabin lighting, quicker Wi-Fi, and improved seat design.

Statements from Leadership

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, emphasized the importance of the airline’s presence at France’s leading aerospace exhibition.

Clark articulated that participating in the Paris Air Show underlines Emirates’ dedication to bolstering France’s aviation industry via daily operations and continual investment in the aerospace supply chain.

The executive also noted the significance of this event as one of the most consequential aerospace exhibitions on a global scale.

Operations in France

Emirates (EK) currently operates robust services to France, maintaining 21 weekly flights to Paris (CDG), including three daily flights aboard the Airbus A380.

The airline also offers daily A380 services to Nice (NCE) and daily A350 flights to Lyon (LYS).

Emirates is proud to be the first and only international airline utilizing A380 aircraft to serve Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE).

Since launching operations in 1985, Emirates has significantly invested in France’s aviation sector.

The airline has committed over €114 billion (US$130 billion) to acquire 254 Airbus aircraft, which include A300, A310, A330, A340-300, A340-500, A380, and A350 models.

These investments have facilitated thousands of jobs at major French aerospace carriers including Airbus, Safran, and Thales.

Recent Collaborations

In 2023, Emirates (EK) announced significant contracts with French suppliers, totaling more than €1.0 billion (US$1.14 billion).

The agreements include a €896 million (US$1.0 billion) contract with Safran Seats, which covers Emirates’ new Airbus A350, Boeing 777X-9, and existing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft fleets.

Furthermore, the airline has invested over €322 million (US$367.5 million) in Thales’ AVANT Up system for its A350 fleet.

Emirates (EK) maintains strategic partnerships with French manufacturers, sourcing Michelin tires, Safran aircraft components, and Thales avionics equipment.

The airline’s procurement also encompasses specialized products, and France is Emirates’ top source worldwide for wine, particularly with Bordeaux wine comprising 58% of the red wine featured in Emirates’ First and Business Class cabins.

Future Outlooks

Emirates (EK) contributes over €189 million (US$215 million) to the French economy annually, covering expenses such as fuel purchases, overflight charges, catering, landing fees, crew accommodations, and marketing investments.

Emirates SkyCargo operates robust weekly cargo routes connecting Dubai World Central, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Lyon Saint-Exupery airports. This supports trade between the UAE and France, which is France’s largest Middle Eastern export partner.

The airline anticipates that its A350 fleet will service 17 destinations by the end of the year, having already added seven A350 aircraft to its operations, with 58 additional units scheduled for future delivery.
