FL Technics Indonesia gains 737 MAX maintenance approval

FL Technics Indonesia, a prominent provider of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, operating under the global aerospace group Avia Solutions Group, has successfully obtained certification from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Indonesia to perform maintenance on Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

This authorization, granted under the Indonesia DGCA Part-145 regulations, permits FL Technics Indonesia to execute both line and base maintenance for the 737-8 and 737-9 aircraft models that utilize CFM LEAP-1B engines. The certification encompasses the company’s primary facilities situated at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) and Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali (DPS), significantly reinforcing its capacity to assist operators of cutting-edge aircraft throughout the region.

“This recent certification marks a major extension of our technical capabilities. Obtaining approval for the maintenance of the Boeing 737 MAX showcases our engineering team’s proficiency in supporting the aircraft’s sophisticated airframe systems, avionics, and powerplant technologies. This achievement also allows us to better serve operators shifting to more fuel-efficient fleets, solidifying our reputation as a trusted MRO partner in Southeast Asia,” stated Martynas Grigas, Chairman of FL Technics Indonesia.

The Boeing 737 MAX series is quickly becoming integral to regional airline fleets worldwide due to its superior fuel efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and enhanced range. These features align with the long-term operational objectives of both full-service and low-cost carriers in Asia. As more airlines commit to modernizing their narrow-body fleets, the demand for certified MRO services to support the 737 MAX platform continues to grow.

FL Technics Indonesia’s broadened capabilities are a direct response to industry trends and strategic needs. This positions the company to meet the escalating maintenance demands of airlines across Indonesia and the larger Asia-Pacific region. With certified facilities in two significant aviation centers and an expanding workforce of skilled engineers, the company is fully prepared to offer high-quality, efficient, and compliant maintenance solutions for the 737 MAX family.

Besides servicing the 737 MAX, FL Technics Indonesia also delivers comprehensive MRO services for various aircraft types, including Boeing Classic, Next Generation (NG), and MAX series, as well as the Airbus A320ceo and A320neo families. The company is certified to maintain engines such as the CFM56-3/5/7, V2500-A, LEAP-1A, 1B, and PW1100G, ensuring it can meet diverse regional fleet maintenance requirements.
